80-year-old Dead After Being Rear-Ended in Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ — 80-year-old Terence Quinlan is dead after a rear-end crash in Phoenix on Wednesday.  The accident occurred near Cave Creek and Hatcher roads around 10:30 a.m.

Police say a 21-year-old was speeding southbound on Cave Creek in a pickup truck when he rear-ended Terence Quinlan’s car.  Terence was taken to the hospital and later died of his injuries.

Police say that the 21-year-old was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.  The 21-year-old may have been impaired according to officers, but the cause of the crash is still under investigation.  The driver of the pickup truck has not yet been identified.
