One Dead and Three Injured in Car Accident on SR-51 in Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ — A three car accident on Friday, January 7th, has left one person dead and three injured.  The accident took place on State Route 51 northbound near Union Hills Drive around 7:45 p.m.

When emergency crews arrived on scene, one person was pronounced dead and three others were transported to local hospitals. Among the severely injured, was a man in his 30s, a pregnant woman in her 20s  and an infant.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety is still investigating the cause of the accident.
